We’re big fans of shrubs, an old method of preserving fruit with vinegar and sugar. They make excellent accents in cocktails, and so when we were looking for a way to hang on to the summer’s blueberries as long as possible, making a shrub of them seemed like the smart way to go.
We add Spirit of the Hudson vodka from Tuthilltown Spirits in Gardiner, New York, a splash of soda, and Hopped Grapefruit bitters from Bittermens.
We wrapped the whole thing in the wreath of a Fleetwood Mac song.
